Vanilla syrup8/22/2023 Therefore, by FDA regulations it cannot be called an extract. The maximum amount of alcohol that is usually present is only 2–3%. Natural vanilla flavoring is derived from vanilla beans with little to no alcohol. Double and triple strength (up to 20-fold) vanilla extracts are also available, although these are primarily used for manufacturing and food service purposes where the amount of liquid in a recipe needs to be carefully monitored. Food and Drug Administration requires that the solution contain a minimum of 35% alcohol and 100g of vanilla beans per litre (13.35 ounces per gallon). In the United States, in order for a vanilla extract to be called pure, the U.S. The name comes from the period when the island of Réunion was ruled by the Bourbon kings of France and has no relation to Bourbon whiskey. The term "Bourbon vanilla" refers to the vanilla beans' provenance as being from the Bourbon Islands, most commonly Madagascar but also Mauritius and Réunion. Madagascar, Mexican, Tahitian, Indonesian, and Ugandan vanilla beans are the main varieties used today. Vanilla extract is the most common form of vanilla used today. Therefore, any clear vanilla flavoring is artificial. by macerating naturally brown vanilla beans in alcohol), there is no possible way for it to be colorless or clear. Because of the way that vanilla extract is made (i.e. By contrast, artificial vanilla flavor is solely made up of artificially derived vanillin, which is frequently made from a by-product of the wood pulp industry. Although its primary flavor compound is vanillin, pure vanilla extract contains several hundred additional flavor compounds, which are responsible for its complex, deep flavor. It is considered an essential ingredient in many Western desserts, especially baked goods like cakes, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes, as well as custards, ice creams, and puddings. Vanilla extract is a solution made by macerating and percolating vanilla pods in a solution of ethanol and water.

Personal testimony of pastor bob joyce8/22/2023 In fact, I had absolutely no idea what to expect, but they began to command a spirit of fear to come out in Jesus’ Name. I had never read a book or heard a tape on deliverance, so I had no preconceived ideas. On the evening of the third day we met with the pastor and his wife and our Baptist deacon prayer partners. I had tried every other avenue, and by this time I was numb, just simply going through the motions. I can’t truthfully say that I had any faith to believe that this would work, but it was like I had no other choice. But it must have been supernatural because neither of us felt even a single hunger pang. We had never even missed a meal before, so we couldn’t imagine going three days without food. The pastor asked us to pray and fast for three days and nights. I found out later that Jack had thrown the tapes down, resolutely, saying, “I will not be a demon chaser.” However, when I continually got worse, he finally went searching for those tapes and said, “I’ll try anything!” I also didn’t realize that God was still orchestrating circumstances to find me and bring me back to Him, in answer to the prayer I had prayed at the clothesline two years before.Īfter finding a pastor and his wife who believed in deliverance, our prayer partners went to Jack with some cassette tapes given them on demons and deliverance. I didn’t realize that they, and Jack, were desperately looking for someone who could help me. And, as families, we would meet weekly to pray. Jack and the other husband were both deacons in the church and through the lay renewals had experienced a deeper desire for more of God. I forgot the vision! I forgot the two-year bubble of peace that I had experienced! I forgot everything.īy this time we had met a couple at our First Baptist home church who had become our prayer partners. I went into a panic attack, frantically trying to think of something to do to keep myself from falling back into the pit I had just climbed out of. I had not taken one of those pills for more than two years, but now I was in near hysterics. I can remember going to the medicine cabinet and spilling medicine bottles all over the floor in a desperate attempt to, hopefully, find an old bottle of anti-depressant pills. It was like the last eight years came crashing back upon me in an instant. I can’t even remember what initiated it, but before I knew it I was emotionally as tormented as I had ever been. One heavenly, blissful night, just rejoicing in the Lord, was spent before the bottom fell out spiritually the next day. But for the moment, I was so thrilled that all I could think about was finding Jack and telling him what had happened. I wish it had been that simple and that instantaneous. I thought the vision meant that the deliverance I had been asking for had taken place while I watched the removal of the tooth. (I didn’t know until much later how significant that part of the vision was.)įinally, I was told to open my mouth again, and there was just a healed area where the black tooth had been. After that he told me to watch what must happen, and he started packing something in those holes until they were completely full. Next the man reached in and pulled out the tooth with all the roots, leaving holes all through my body. Then my whole body became transparent, and I saw black roots going down through the trunk of my body and down my arms and legs. The man told me to open my mouth, and when I did I could see a black tooth. I didn’t go into any kind of trance, but it was like I could see myself sitting in a chair-much like a dental chair-and a man dressed in white was standing beside me. I was aware that I was sitting in my bedroom. I didn’t know it was a vision at the time-I just knew something supernatural was happening. O NE SUNDAY MORNING I was alone in my bedroom getting dressed, when suddenly and very quietly I had a vision.

F100 patina8/22/2023 Instead, the old F-100 probably rides like a charm on a TCI Automotive chassis and will gladly send all the modern V8 power through a Ford Performance Gen2 5.0-liter Coyote and 6R80 automatic transmission to the beefy tires shod around 20-inch Detroit Steel Wheel Co. But as is the case with many patina-designed custom trucks, it was all just a ruse. And what a treat, indeed, although it may not look like much at first sight. Thus, when Lunger traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to meet up with Luis (from Sevens Speed & Custom) and his client’s 1955 Ford F-100 we jumped at the chance of showcasing yet another cool, vintage F-Series treat. With so much else to do, from building Ford Thunder SVT tribute trucks to fiddling with “Gold Dust,” the host’s resident F-Series, we can understand there is little time left to roam the country in search of cool build projects. So, in between projects, Solomon Lunger - the affable and knowledgeable host of the Ford Era channel on YouTube - is back with another episode of the exceedingly rare “ What The Truck?” series. Well, the story is also important, not just the looks, right? Such is the case with this patina-riddled 1955 F-100 that looks great (in different shades of) blue, just like the bright sky, and does not feel sad about it just one tiny bit. Alas, they can only do so when given the proper chance at stardom.

Night moves 1975 watch online8/22/2023 One of the pilots, Tom Iverson (John Crawford), also has a charter business in the Florida Keys, used as a staging point for the smuggled goods. All are pilots except for mechanic Quentin (James Woods). The earlier movie was too wrapped in romantic fashion to pass for neo-realist (the historical characters were ugly, vicious and stupid, just the kind favored by nouvelle vague directors.) As a representative 70s picture, Night Moves is right up there with work by Lumet and Scorcese, with Penn's own distinct style and pacing.Four men in the movie stunt business join together to smuggle precious Mexican antiquities to the States. I far prefer this film to Penn's Bonnie and Clyde. Neo-realism is a powerful technique in the right hands, as Night Moves is. The question, "How could that story come out of what I know?", creates troubling disturbances in a viewer's perceptions and expectations. In Night Movies, scenes look too familiar. With nouvelle vague, and American disciples like Penn, Lumet and early Scorcese, the viewer isn't given those theatrical pomps. Its best exponent was Orson Welles (at least in two 40s films and the later Touch of Evil). 40s film noir by contrast was high theater, with extreme lighting, and intense use of unusual camera angles, movement, and cutting. The movie's all on location, all in natural light, with mostly incidental music. Penn's Night Moves has a look more like Truffaut or Melville. Original noir movies, even those like Lady From Shanghai where much was shot on location, were scarcely bound by the realist conventions. The film's frequent comparison by critics to 1940s Hollywood noir films is apt, but Night Movies is more directly related to the nouvelle vague, a series of French movies from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Sharp's plot is dark and often eerily inpenetrable. Melanie Griffith, who looks about 14, makes one of her first appearances and is a marvelously evocative, sexually precocious teenager on the run from a tyrannical mother, played with slightly rotten bile by Janet Ward. Jamie Woods makes one of his earliest appearances as a stunt pilot's mechanic, and is wonderfully eccentric, a perfect fit to the part and to the movie. Susan Clark as Hackman's (Harry Moseby) wandering spouse, makes a lot from a somewhat thankless role. In this, as an androgynous tough girl who draws the detective's attention, she's perfect opposite Gene Hackman. Jennifer Warren, whom I don't remember in anything else, might seem off or stiff in almost any other setting. The script by Alan Sharp is crisp, sharp, the characters well-drawn, the dialogue terse (and witness to Sharp's superb ear) and a good fit with the actors. The movie was directed by Arthur Penn, who'd done Bonnie and Clyde eight years earlier, another neo-realist film shot in blazing natural light. To get that t o work in more than one scene requires a first rate script, front line director, and a terrific acting company. The opportunities for irony loom large (remember the cornfield scene in North by Northwest where Cary Grant gets strafed). It's got the same setup as familiar Bogart movies and Dashiell Hammett stories, the middle-aged detective falling into a mess too big for his skills, judgment and imagination, but it's shot in bright, natural light. It's a neo-noir film, sure - all the PR says that, but it's a noir film in bright light, whether that of the West Coast, or of the Keys and the Caribbean. Not long ago, it was put on DVD - time to see the whole thing. However, something about the movie stuck, including vivid scenes in the Caribbean. The writer saw this movie many years ago on a date.
